This picture says it all. We had such a great time with Dan Meg and Adam! Tell me these boys aren't cute :)

Say hello to my little friends...

Sara, get your poker face on because we are playing Nasty, Disgusting, Get Out of My House - BUG POKER. I'll take your carpet beetles and pantry moths and RAISE you kitchen SCORPIONS!

Ew. Ew. Ew. Ew. Ew.
is all I have to say. We found these two little boogers running around the kitchen floor yesterday. Needless to say, now they are VERY DEAD.

We could open a ZOO with all the creatures have had in our back yard (If we aren't just including bugs in our poker game then I am pretty sure I win):

1. Random dog that was in our garage when I went to bring the trash out one afternoon. He was cute and little and wound up following me into the house.

2. Neighbors cat likes to poop on our front walkway/driveway.

3. Rabid Raccoon (before we moved in)

4. Humming Birds galore.

5. Killer ants that like to die in the humming bird feeder. Natural selection I tell you.

6. Turtle named Francis showed up on the back porch.

7. Nasty Tarantulas in back yard that didnt die even when Matt ran over it with the lawn mower.

8. Snakes. Need I say more?

9. Tubby the toad which is the fattest toad ever. Unfortunately Matt deleted his picture. He comes to the garage every night around 9 with a little mini toad.

10. Scorpions. Ew.

11. Horses. We like the horses.

12. Cow. Lives on the horse ranch behind us. I named it Squirrel.

13. Magness. Resident Hellion. (Yes, that is the doggy door beside him. Yes. He did break it)

So there you have it. The Robertson Zoo.

Its gettin hot in here...So take off all your clothes...

This picture says it all. When it is 110 degrees out and you just finished mowing the lawn and lack a pool...its time to improvise. There is nothing sweeter than a man and his dog is his VERY tiny kiddie pool. And yes, Matty does have shorts on haha.

R.I.P Bruce

Dear Bruce,
I love you and miss you already. You were the best car a girl could ever ask for. You were old man blue and looked like Bruce the Shark from finding Nemo...hence your name.

Here are the reasons I love you:

1. Your name is/was Bruce. Everybody knew you and referred to you as Bruce. Even Sam which makes it that much more special.
2. You have taken me from Avon, to Cedar City, Utah, Provo, Utah and all the way to Oklahoma.
3. You put up with my stupid stickers that I insisted on putting on you.
4. You let me blast my music with the sunroof open so I could feel cool.
5. No matter how hard you try, you never skid out or do donuts.
6. You were comfortable... sorry, that was kinda lame.
7. You were the only constant man in my life till Matty Wrecked you, SO now he must take over as the constant Man in my life :)
8. You were very reliable and made me feel safe.
9. You still drove even when I neglected to clean you.
10. You functioned not only as a car, but, also as a closet.

Bruce, I love you and will always miss you.
Love,
Kim

Toto, I've a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore...

That right, we had a hurricane/monsoon in Oklahoma last night. (we are all OK) It started at 12:45ish and didn't stop for a few hours. It was the loudest thunder I have ever heard and the most strobe-light-esque lighting I have ever seen. The winds reached 120 mph and were classified as class 2 hurricane winds. Because of the incredibly high volume of insurance claims, they are calling our area a disaster area. Our neighbor had a tree go through their roof into their master bedroom!

We lost power from 12:45am - 1:30 pm
We lost 8 trees, two of which fell on our house or the neighbors.
We lost half of our fence.
We lost my front porch pillows.
A tree hit Matt's taillight.
We lost our stop sign and our subdivisions entire front entrance fence.
Our house was hooked up to a neighbors generator with extension cords going to either house on each side of ours refrigerators.
and the GRAND FINALE:

THe boat got blown out of Beth and JW's driveway, over the stone retaining wall and flipped over in the neighbors yard. We are waiting on a crane to come rescue it.

Oy vay.

Forgetting the Past and Shaping the Future

Today marks the 1 year anniversary of the 2 best decisions I have ever made. 1 year ago I said goodbye to my past and did everything I could to leave it behind. That leads me to my second best decision, Marrying Matt.

If there is one thing I have learned from him over the past year it is that, "You have already lived in the past, no need to relive it. Take what you learned and apply it to the future so you make it the best it can be."

Matt has given me the strength I needed to leave the past behind and start something new.

Since then, I have moved. I have graduated College. I have applied for a masters Degree. I have bought an AMAZING house. I have rekindled relationships with my family. I have married the man of my dreams. I have started a career. I have learned to cook. I have learned to sew. I have a savings account and can share that with someone who appreciates it.I have a life that I never would have had or ever imagined.

To my family: Thank you for all of your undying love and support. I couldn't have done any of this without you.

To Matt: You are my best friend and I will always be thankful for the support, guidance and love you have shared with me.
