Forgetting the Past and Shaping the Future

Today marks the 1 year anniversary of the 2 best decisions I have ever made. 1 year ago I said goodbye to my past and did everything I could to leave it behind. That leads me to my second best decision, Marrying Matt.

If there is one thing I have learned from him over the past year it is that, "You have already lived in the past, no need to relive it. Take what you learned and apply it to the future so you make it the best it can be."

Matt has given me the strength I needed to leave the past behind and start something new.

Since then, I have moved. I have graduated College. I have applied for a masters Degree. I have bought an AMAZING house. I have rekindled relationships with my family. I have married the man of my dreams. I have started a career. I have learned to cook. I have learned to sew. I have a savings account and can share that with someone who appreciates it.I have a life that I never would have had or ever imagined.

To my family: Thank you for all of your undying love and support. I couldn't have done any of this without you.

To Matt: You are my best friend and I will always be thankful for the support, guidance and love you have shared with me.

So this is totally what I am going to do today. I got my first ever REAL PERSON/BIG GIRL/GROWNUP/SUGAR MOMMA paycheck. So, rather than spending it all, I plan on doing what this little boy did. I am going to withdraw all of it from the bank, get in my pj's and sit in a mountain of 50$ bills. I would do 100 dollar bills but my pile wouldn't be too large. ..Ya, I'm a high roller...hehe (well, not really, but a girl can dream, right????)

Catching up...

So here are a few pictures to catch you up with the busy life of the Robertsons...
We have spent many a weekends at the lake, got married, ate ice cream, worn cute hats, shopped for interview clothes, got a job, ate buffalo wings, made funny faces, watched our horses run under the rainbow, and crushed Bruce :( I will try to be better about posting pictures. But for now, this makes up for lost time.

A Backyard With A View

So now that we are 80% moved in...we are able to enjoy the many perks of the new house. One of our favorite things about this house is the yard. Our backyard view is amazing! We have our own personal ranch. The back fence is a cattle/stockade fence that belongs to the horse ranch behind us...our view goes on forever because of it! So, here are some pictures taken at our back fence of our new friends/pets/neighbors!!!!!!!!!

Jeg er ked af jeg var så betyde for dig, når vi mødtes første gang. Jeg er så glad for, at Evan valgte dig til at tage min plads som kvinden i hans liv. haha. Du er mere end en søster-in-law til mig. Du er min søster og endnu bedre, en af mine bedste venner. Jeg elsker dig!

Queen of Hearts...

Because I am anticipating some amazingly perfect, wonderful, romantic valentines day date...planned by Matt... I decided to do my part early and cook a Valentines day dinner. We had Hearty Chicken Pot Pie...haha get it? Like Progresso Hearty soups? Okay, I thought it was funny. We had chocolate covered strawberries, strawberry milk and pinkish/red, heart shaped rice crispy treats for dessert :)
