Toto, I've a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore...
That right, we had a hurricane/monsoon in Oklahoma last night. (we are all OK) It started at 12:45ish and didn't stop for a few hours. It was the loudest thunder I have ever heard and the most strobe-light-esque lighting I have ever seen. The winds reached 120 mph and were classified as class 2 hurricane winds. Because of the incredibly high volume of insurance claims, they are calling our area a disaster area. Our neighbor had a tree go through their roof into their master bedroom!
We lost power from 12:45am - 1:30 pm
We lost 8 trees, two of which fell on our house or the neighbors.
We lost half of our fence.
We lost my front porch pillows.
A tree hit Matt's taillight.
We lost our stop sign and our subdivisions entire front entrance fence.
Our house was hooked up to a neighbors generator with extension cords going to either house on each side of ours refrigerators.
and the GRAND FINALE:
THe boat got blown out of Beth and JW's driveway, over the stone retaining wall and flipped over in the neighbors yard. We are waiting on a crane to come rescue it.
Oy vay.

Holy Moly, Dorothy. I say follow the yellow brick road to home - here you'll just have to dig yourselves out of 10 feet of snow in the winter...:)
ReplyDeleteGlad you are all okay, btw. That's really scary and I don't like having you around all that freaky weather! Hugs.
